In 2024, Kyrgyzstan received foreign direct investment (FDI) totaling $872.6 million, compared to $844.9 million in 2023, according to the National Statistical Committee.
Most of the investments came from China (23.9%), Russia (22.7%), Turkey (10.2%), Luxembourg (8.8%), Kazakhstan (5.7%), the Netherlands (4.9%), Azerbaijan (3.4%), and other countries (20.4%).
Compared to 2023, the inflow of FDI increased from Azerbaijan, Luxembourg, Germany, Turkey, the Netherlands, and Russia, and decreased from the UK, UAE, Kazakhstan, and China.
Kyrgyzstan’s manufacturing sector received 33.2% of all FDI in 2024, followed by the financial sector (20.6%), wholesale and retail trade (18.7%), mining industry (11.3%), and geological exploration (8.3%).
