Construction of the Great Silk Road industrial technopark has begun in cooperation with Chinese company Zhejiang Holley Global Industry Development on 227 hectares of land in the city of Almalyk.
Around 100 enterprises will be located in the park, focusing on areas such as electrical engineering, textiles, building materials, and pharmaceuticals. Over 12,000 new jobs will be created, and it is expected that products worth approximately $120 million will be exported annually, while goods worth $80 million will replace imports.
The project’s construction will be carried out in two stages. Since January of this year, construction work has begun on 13 hectares of land, including a two-story exhibition center, a three-story office, a logistics center, small refrigeration units, and transformer manufacturing workshops.
