The U.S. Government’s Agency for International Development (USAID) in partnership with the Public Organization Ilmhona, and other international and private donors, on November 23 hosted the Regional Tech Jam Forum 2024 in Dushanbe. Since its inception in 2021, Tech Jam has become an important platform for young professionals, IT experts, and industry leaders to connect and share ideas. This year’s event convened over 600 young professionals from across Central Asia, providing them a unique opportunity to expand their networks, build skills, and explore new career possibilities in IT.
“We all recognize the critical role of IT development, particularly for countries like Tajikistan. As a nation with a predominantly young population, Tajikistan can greatly benefit from expanding its IT sector,” said John Riordan, USAID/Tajikistan Mission Director. “Beyond economic benefits, a strong IT sector also promotes transparency, the rule of law, and more equal opportunities.”
The forum sparked engaging discussions on Tajikistan’s digital future, skill development, tech education, and data-driven decision-making. It featured keynote speeches, expert panels, hands-on workshops, and valuable networking opportunities.
This Regional Tech Jam Forum 2024 aligns with USAID’s commitment to promoting inclusive growth, supporting workforce development, and fostering an innovative technology sector in Central Asia.
