An Uzbek-Indian business forum was held in Tashkent on September 27 under the co-chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khojayev and Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs of India Nirmala Sitharaman.

The forum was also attended by Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Shokhrukh Gulamov, as well as about 100 heads of large companies of the two countries representing the fields of agriculture, textile production, building materials, automotive, chemical industry, electrical industry, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, information technology, transport and logistics.

Addressing the forum, Jamshid Khojayev thanked the Indian side for the representative composition of the delegation and expressed confidence that this forum will serve as an effective platform for expanding business contacts and implementing new joint projects.
