Uzbekistan’s Fergana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov met with a delegation led by Chinese investor Yuan Yanping to discuss plans for launching a tractor manufacturing project in the Kuvasoy Industrial Zone. The project, with a total investment of $100 million, will begin its first phase with a $30 million investment.
As part of this initiative, the Fergana Tractor Manufacturing Plant has been officially registered with Chinese partners. By the end of this year, tractors will be produced under the national brand “Tulpor”, featuring multiple models tailored to various agricultural needs. The plant will also integrate a 2-megawatt solar power system, ensuring self-sufficiency in electricity.
The project is designed in two phases. The first phase involves the construction of a tractor manufacturing facility, while the second phase will focus on producing spare parts and establishing technical service centers.
Tractors will be supplied to both local and international markets, catering to the growing demand for modern agricultural machinery. In its initial stage, the plant is expected to create 250 new jobs, contributing to regional employment growth.
During the meeting, Governor Bozorov emphasized the importance of expediting the project’s launch in accordance with established standards and requirements. He provided key recommendations and instructed relevant officials to ensure effective collaboration in implementing the project successfully.
