A delegation of the Bishkek municipality, led by Deputy Mayor Jyrgalbek Shamyraliev, visited the city of Changsha in China to get acquainted with the work of Hunan Junxin Environmental Protection Co Ltd, which built a large environmentally friendly waste incineration plant in this city, the press service of the Bishkek municipality said.
In November 2023, the Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev and the general director of Hunan Junxin Environmental Protection Co Ltd signed a framework agreement on cooperation on a facility for the production of electricity based on waste incineration in Bishkek. The Chinese company expressed an intention to build a waste incineration plant as an investor, the Bishkek municipality’s press service said.
Currently, a feasibility study for the project is being developed for the construction of a plant for recycling solid household waste in Bishkek.
Construction is planned to start in early spring of this year and is expected to take about a year and a half, the press service said.
