Creative Youth Forum held in Uzbekistan

The Creative Youth Forum: “Shaping the Science” was held on June 11-12 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. This landmark event brought together brilliant young minds from across the globe, fostering an environment of innovation, collaboration, and scientific exploration.

The forum kicked off with an inspiring opening ceremony. Nobel Prize Winner Harold Varmus delivered the keynote address via video, setting an uplifting tone for the event. Varmus emphasized the importance of scientific thinking and innovation, urging the young participants to pursue their scientific endeavors with passion and dedication.

The forum featured an impressive lineup of keynote speakers and panelists. Esteemed guests such as Yusuf Abdullaev, Rector of Samarkand International University of Technology (SIUT), and Mukhammadkhon Soliev, Director of the Innovative Centre, shared their insights on the current state and future of STEM education in Uzbekistan. Their speeches highlighted the critical role of education in driving technological advancements and economic growth.

The first panel discussion focused on strategies to attract Uzbek youth to STEM careers. The discussion provided valuable insights into the global landscape of STEM education and the unique challenges and opportunities in Uzbekistan.

This session brought together experts such as Fayzullokhon Mavlyudov from Amazon, Bobirjon Bakhtiyorov from Johns Hopkins University, and other notable researchers and academicians. The discussion focused on generating actionable insights and strategies for improving STEM education in Uzbekistan.
