A regional office of Euronews will be opened in Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana, the Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan, Aida Balayeva, announced on her Facebook page.
Minister Balayeva met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euronews, Pedro Vargas David, and the parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Euronews.
“The opening of a regional representative office of Euronews will provide the channel with an excellent opportunity to comprehensively promote the economic, political, social and cultural development of Kazakhstan,” the Kazakh minister noted.
The opening of a regional Euronews office will also open up new opportunities for Kazakh journalists.
“We will not only bring European journalists to Kazakhstan to work together, but we will also look for new faces and talented youth among the Kazakh media,” said Pedro Vargas David.
