Flight between Almaty and Uzbekistan’s Nukus will be launched

Starting from June 1, Uzbekistan Airways will begin operating regular flights between Almaty (Kazakhstan) and Nukus, the main city of Uzbekistan’s northwestern Karakalpak Autonomous Region, the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan has announced.

Flights will run twice a week (on Wednesdays and Saturdays) on a 174-seat A320 aircraft.

The ministry said that the new air route will contribute to the development of trade, economic, business, and tourism cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

According to the ministry, the total number of international flights from Kazakhstan now stands at 567 per week on 121 air routes. Direct flights are available to 28 countries.
