According to the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to September 2023, 834.9 thousand foreign tourists visited Kazakhstan, 225 thousand more than in 2022 (an increase of 37%).
In the first nine months of 2023, the majority of travelers visited Kazakhstan from Russia — 356,850. Chinese tourists took second place — 75,131, followed by tourists from Türkiye — 41,134. The top five also includes travelers from India (34,757) and the USA (28,160).
“Every year the interest of foreign tourists in Kazakhstan is growing. We hope that this year this figure will be even higher. After all, the country has many beautiful places that surprise foreigners and attract attention with their natural beauty,” said the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Erkinbayev.
