Kazakhstan and Great Britain sign commercial agreements

During the official visit of UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron to Kazakhstan, a ceremony was held on April 25 to sign two commercial documents.

The Ministry of Healthcare of Kazakhstan, the Almaty City Administration, National Company Kazakh Invest, and AstraZeneca signed a Plan for the implementation of an investment project for contract manufacturing of biotechnological products in Kazakhstan. The signing of the production localization plan is a step towards achieving Kazakhstan’s goal to increase the share of domestically produced medicines in the domestic market to 50%.

The Committee for Highways of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan and British company Car Park Transformer signed a memorandum on the construction of roadside service facilities on national and international highways of the country. The document provides for the construction of 250 service stations, which will provide a comfortable multi-service environment for all road users. The stations will be equipped with restrooms, retail spaces, as well as electric vehicle charging points.
