Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a law providing for the creation of a trade and logistics complex on the border with Kyrgyzstan, Tengrinews.kz reports.
Tokayev signed the law “On ratification of the agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic on the creation and regulation of the activities of an industrial, trade and logistics complex in the area of the Karasu and Ak-Tilek road checkpoints.”
The complex will consist of production sites, warehouses for storing goods and equipment, as well as transport infrastructure. It will speed up the delivery of goods and reduce logistics costs.
The trade and logistics complex will become the next step in industrial cooperation between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
