Kazakhstan sends 2,000 tons of diesel fuel to Kyrgyzstan

On behalf of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, 2,000 tons of diesel fuel have been allocated by the government of Kazakhstan to help Kyrgyzstan overcome the consequences of the recent accident at the Bishkek thermal electric power plant.

The first batch of diesel fuel in the amount of 1,000 tons was shipped by 17 tank cars on February 28. The humanitarian cargo will be received by the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic.

An explosion occurred at the Bishkek thermal power plant on February 2, leaving parts of the capital city without hot water and heat for several days.
