Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry and Freedom Bank, on one side, and Tajikistan’s Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies and Amonatbank, on the other side, last week signed a memorandum of cooperation in the development of IT technologies and innovations.
The parties agreed to cooperate in the development of digital infrastructure and the implementation of e-government initiatives, facilitating the exchange of knowledge in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship. The partners will also support start-ups and develop digital ecosystems through the creation of a technology park in Tajikistan.
“The opening of the technology park in Tajikistan is an important step in the development of regional cooperation and support for innovation,” commented Zhaslan Madiyev, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan. “Thanks to Freedom Bank financing, this project opens up new horizons for technological entrepreneurship and the creation of modern IT solutions.”
Aidos Zhumagulov, member of the board of directors of Freedom Bank added: “Along with the launch of the IT hub, we intend to open a subsidiary of Freedom Bank in Tajikistan. It will allow us to scale up our experience and introduce digital financial products and services in the Tajik market.”
