Kyrgyzstan president awards Kazakhstan’s public figures

In anticipation of his official visit to Kazakhstan on April 18-19, Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov, by his decree dated April 12, 2024, awarded a number of Kazakh public figures with state awards of the Kyrgyz Republic for their significant contributions to strengthening friendship and cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Order of Danaker has been conferred on Murat Auezov, public and culture figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Mukhtar Shakhanov, poet, diplomat, ex-ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Order of Dostuk has been conferred on Sauytbek Abdrakhmanov, publicist, literary critic, journalist, film critic, ex-deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Myrzatai Zholdasbekov, statesman and public figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a Turkic scholar; Erlan Idrisov, statesman, ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Kasymbek Zhenis Makhmuduly, akim (mayor) of the city of Astana; Kydyrali Darkhan Kuandykuly, deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, professor of the Gumilyov Eurasian National University, member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Omarov Bauyrzhan Zhumakhanuly, advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philology, Professor; and Tuimebaev Zhanseit Kanseituly, chairman of the board- rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The Order of Dank has been conferred on Aktoty Raimkulov, president of the International Foundation for Turkic Culture and Heritage.

The honorary title of People’s Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic has been conferred on Altynbek Korazbaev, Soviet and Kazakh composer and singer, and Roza Rymbaeva, Soviet and Kazakh pop singer and film actress.

The Dank medal has been conferred on Didar Kulkenov, general director-chairman of the board of editors of the Tan-Sholpan magazine (Kazakhstan); and Nurkenov Nurlan Zhanbyrshyuly, first deputy akim (mayor) of the city of Astana.

Certificates of Honor of the Kyrgyz Republic have been conferred on Safin Nurlybek Samatul, editor-in-chief of the Tan-Sholpan magazine; Erlan Sydykov, chairman of the board-rector of the Gumilyov Eurasian National University; and Erbol Khabylbekov, director of the Kazakh State Academic Music and Drama Theater named after Kuanyshbaev.
