‘One Village – One Product’ project being implemented in Kazakhstan

The “One Village – One Product” project (OVOP) is being implemented within the framework of “Men Kasipker” instrument, developed in accordance with the National Entrepreneurship Development Project for 2021-2025. Its goal is to involve rural population in creation of a unique, high-quality regional product that is certified and has market attractiveness, the Kazakh Ministry of National Economy said.

OVOP services are provided to potential producers in the Centers for Women’s Entrepreneurship Development.

The best products are selected throughout Kazakhstan. This year, more than 500 entrepreneurs from all regions of the country participated in the project. This project allows to identify the most promising products. These are mainly food products, national products and bio-goods.

For the selected project participants, training has been conducted on production technology, support has been provided for promotion and marketing of products, development of trademarks and quality standards. Also, support has been provided in obtaining certification of manufactured local products.

Work on OVOP project will continue next year. The project is scheduled to be implemented until December 2025.
