The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon has issued the Decree “On declaring 2024 the Year of Legal Education”.
The decree aims to increase the level of legal education of Tajikistan citizens, promote democratic values, strengthen the respect of human rights, ensure the rule of law, form a stable system of legal behavior and the inevitability of legal responsibility, and organize an effective mechanism of cooperation between the state and civil society institutions in the legal education of citizens.
Implementation of measures stipulated for in the decree is to ensure the rights and freedoms of the citizens, respect and compliance with the Constitution of Tajikistan, laws and other normative legal acts, to increase the sense of patriotism, to strengthen citizens’ interest in legal knowledge, to expand citizens’ access to legal information, their active participation in law-making activities, and to reduce the level of law violations.
