Tyre production launched in Kazakhstan

The KamaTyresKZ tyre-manufacturing plant in the city of Saran in Kazakhstan’s Karaganda region was put into operation on July 1 and during the first month of its operation produced about 30 thousand tyres, including 29 thousand tyres for passenger cars.

The plant is a joint project with Russia’s Tatneft company.

The plant’s production capacity is 3 million tyres for cars and 500 thousand tyres for trucks per year.

Currently, car tyres are manufactured under the Attar brand. Since July, tyre sales have begun on domestic and foreign markets. This year, JAC brand cars manufactured in Kazakhstan will be equipped with Attar tyres.

The plant plans to produce about 1 million tyres by the end of this year. It is expected that by 2027, the plant will produce 3.5 million tyres.

Production equipment for the plant was supplied from Latvia, Italy, Portugal, and Japan.
